Cement Company of Nigeria Plc (“CCNN”) has notified The Nigerian Stock Exchange of the resignation of Mr. Alf Karlsen as Managing Director/CEO of the Company with effect from 31st December, 2015 and the appointment of Mr. Ibrahim Aminu, FCCA as the acting Managing Director/CEO with effect from 1st January, 2016.
Mr. Ibrahim Aminu, obtained his B.Sc in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1990 and also holds an MBA from Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK). He has over two decades working experience in various organizations including Federal Civil Service Commission, Lagos; Nigeria Universal Bank, Kaduna; Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company Ltd, Lagos/Abuja; Nigerian Telecommunications Ltd, Abuja; Suburban Telecoms, Abuja; and BUA Flour Mills, Lagos. He joined CCNN, Sokoto, in January, 2010 as Assistant Director, Finance and was later promoted to Finance Director. He was appointed on the Board as Executive Director, Finance in May 2013.
