NSL Capital Partners Limited (“NCAP”/”the Company”) was incorporated on 21st February, 2014 to anchor the Issuing House License of its parent company, Nigerian Stockbrokers Limited (NSL). This is to allow NSL to concentrate mainly on Stockbroking activities. Prior to the implementation of the Nigerian Enterprise Promotion Act, 1972 (“indigenisation exercise”), NSL, which was established in 1961, was wholly owned and managed by Financial Holdings Nigeria Limited (“FHNL”). Since its establishment, NSL has handled several landmark transactions in the past under the Issuing House License, the latest of which was the N40 billion Special Placing for Wema Bank Plc. in 2013.

Capital Status

The Authorized Share Capital of the Company is N250 million divided into 500,000,000 Ordinary shares of 50 kobo each out of which N200 million are issued and fully paid-up.

Legal Status

Following the separation of the composite licence of Nigerian Stockbrokers Limited (NSL), the parent Company, the Issuing House licence was transferred to NCAP (the subsidiary) by the Securities & Exchange Commission to perform all the Issuing House and Financial Advisory Service roles hitherto performed by NSL.

NCAP is licensed by the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), the Apex regulatory institution in the Nigerian Capital Market, as Issuing House and Financial Advisers.
